NEW RESIDENTIAL CONSTRUCTION PROCESS

A CLIENT'S GUIDE TO BUILDING A NEW HOME

1

We begin our journey by meeting at our office to discuss your vision, budget, selections, floorplans, and asses your building site.

2

After assessing your specifications, we'll meet again to present you with a carefully designed budget to turn your dream into reality.

3

While still in the initial phases of construction, you will finalize your design selections. We'll then pre-order, so materials will be ready when needed. From this point on, we'll meet at least once a month- at our office or the building site - to keep you involved in the process and updated on the schedule.

4

In this stage we will begin construction of the foundation of your home.

5

Once the foundation is completed, framers will begin constructing the floors, walls, stairs and roof.

6

The exterior of your home will be completed during this stage. The exterior walls will be closed in and from the outside it will begin to look more like a home.

7

Electricians will arrive to install wiring and plumbing; however, pipes and wires will still be visible during this time.

8

All gaps will be sealed and insulation will be added to ensure your home stays warm.

9

During this stage, your walls and ceilings will be filled in. Followed by your interior doors, shelving, cabinets, countertops, mirrors, and flooring. The plumbers and electricians will make a second appearance to finish some final touches (installing registers, faucets, light fixtures, and appliances).

10

Your yard is formed, driveways and walkways are built. Landscapers will plant trees, shrubs and grass to elevate your home's exterior.

11

While the landscaping is being added, the final inspections will be conducted. Any issues that may be encountered will be addressed and rectified before continuing to the next stage. Once the issues are corrected, all remaining construction materials will be removed. Your home will be ready for closing after our crew thoroughly cleans it.

12

Before the home officially becomes yours, we will schedule a final walkthrough. This is when we'll explain how to operate all mechanical systems/appliances. You should use this time to ask any questions you may have regarding how the home operates. Minor issues, such as paint-touch ups may also be requested during this time. Shortly after the walkthrough you will sign the required documents and the home will be yours!
